Mix the warm milk, sugar, and yeast and let it sit until foamy.

Add your egg and butter, then mix in the dry ingredients until a soft dough forms.

Knead until smooth, about 8–10 minutes, then cover and let rise somewhere warm until doubled in size (about 1 hour).

Melt your butter. Combine the butter, garlic, parsley, and salt.

Roll your dough into a rectangle, spread the butter mixture evenly, and sprinkle the cheeses on top.

Cut the dough into 3 even strips, stack them, then cut again into squares and layer into your pan.

Let it rise again for 30–40 minutes.

Bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 25–30 minutes or until golden.
